Story
Energy work at CNOOC spans more than one site, even when headquarters sits in China. Product lifecycle data was splitting across regional habits. Engineering and quality asked for a shared way to run change control without freezing local judgment.
Hexagon (Leica Geosystems) is what they standardized on. Hexagon provides digital reality and industrial software for measurement, design, and operations in manufacturing and geospatial work. CNOOC uses it as the system of record for product lifecycle data, with engineering and quality as the primary operators and other groups coming in through the same queue.
