Story
Inside Unit, planning and forecasting used to depend on whoever still had the latest file. That pattern is common in financials groups working out of the United States. FP&A needed a system that would still make sense after the original project team moved on.
Unit uses Anaplan Workflow from Anaplan as the working layer for financial planning. Anaplan is a connected planning platform for finance, supply chain, and sales planning on a shared calculation engine. The practical change is simple: planning and forecasting has a home, and reviews happen there instead of in a forwarded thread.
