Story
Inside Thomson Reuters, agreement management used to depend on whoever still had the latest file. That pattern is common in industrials groups working out of Canada. Legal and business owners needed a system that would still make sense after the original project team moved on.
Thomson Reuters uses Web Forms from DocuSign as the working layer for contract routing. DocuSign provides electronic agreement software so organizations can prepare, sign, and manage contracts without paper routing. The practical change is simple: agreement management has a home, and reviews happen there instead of in a forwarded thread.
Nothing in this writeup invents a savings number. What Thomson Reuters gets from DocuSign is a durable place to run agreement management and a way for legal and business owners to see the same contract routing at the same time.
