SantosSantos Runs Plant and Field Operations with AVEVA
Santos, an energy organization in Australia, uses Connect from AVEVA to support plant and field operations for operations engineers.
Connect became the place Santos uses to see live equipment and project status instead of lagging reports.
“In Australia, operations engineers already knew where operations visibility went wrong: too many copies, too little ownership, and a close process that waited on the loudest inbox.”
“AVEVA, part of Schneider Electric, provides industrial software for engineering, operations, and real-time data, including the PI System.”

Story
Santos did not need another dashboard that nobody opened. It needed plant and field operations to move. In Australia, operations engineers already knew where operations visibility went wrong: too many copies, too little ownership, and a close process that waited on the loudest inbox.
Connect from AVEVA is now in that path. AVEVA, part of Schneider Electric, provides industrial software for engineering, operations, and real-time data, including the PI System. The company treats it as production tooling for plant and field operations, which is why operations engineers live in it rather than exporting from it once a quarter.
Santos can show how operations visibility is handled today. That is the value: a repeatable way to run plant and field operations on software the rest of the industry already recognizes.
