Story
Toshiba grew financial close faster than the local tools around it. From Japan, industrials teams still had to serve customers and internal partners who expected a straight answer. Controllers and shared services were the ones stitching the picture together by hand.
Rolling out Oracle Fusion put record to report on Oracle. Oracle delivers enterprise applications, databases, and cloud infrastructure, including Fusion Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Toshiba keeps the product in the path where work already happens, so controllers and shared services do not context-switch into a graveyard system used only for audits.
The visible result is steadier record to report. Financial close is easier to inspect, and adjacent groups can join controllers and shared services without a guided tour of someone's desktop.
