Story

Mazda grew on-call response faster than the local tools around it. From Japan, consumer discretionary teams still had to serve customers and internal partners who expected a straight answer. On-call rotations were the ones stitching the picture together by hand.

Rolling out PagerDuty Operations Cloud put incident management on PagerDuty. PagerDuty is an operations cloud for incident response, on-call, and event intelligence used by digital operations teams. Mazda keeps the product in the path where work already happens, so on-call rotations do not context-switch into a graveyard system used only for audits.

The visible result is steadier incident management. On-call response is easier to inspect, and adjacent groups can join on-call rotations without a guided tour of someone's desktop.
