GitLabGitLab Standardizes Product Design on Autodesk
GitLab, an information technology organization in the United States, uses Autodesk Construction Cloud from Autodesk to support engineering design for design engineers.
Shared Autodesk Construction Cloud workspaces help GitLab keep engineering design honest across teams.

Story
Information Technology work at GitLab spans more than one site, even when headquarters sits in the United States. Product design was splitting across regional habits. Design engineers asked for a shared way to run engineering design without freezing local judgment.
Autodesk (Autodesk Construction Cloud) is what they standardized on. Autodesk makes design and make software for architecture, engineering, construction, and manufacturing, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Fusion. GitLab uses it as the system of record for product design, with design engineers as the primary operators and other groups coming in through the same queue.
Leaders get a picture they can actually walk. Teams get fewer mystery statuses. The story is about operating change, not an unpublished percentage.
