Story
Energy work at Galp spans more than one site, even when headquarters sits in Portugal. Order management was splitting across regional habits. Order desk and finance asked for a shared way to run order to cash without freezing local judgment.
Oracle (Oracle Database) is what they standardized on. Oracle delivers enterprise applications, databases, and cloud infrastructure, including Fusion Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Galp uses it as the system of record for order management, with order desk and finance as the primary operators and other groups coming in through the same queue.
Leaders get a picture they can actually walk. Teams get fewer mystery statuses. The story is about operating change, not an unpublished percentage.
