ConocoPhillips did not need another dashboard that nobody opened. It needed remote access to move. In the United States, network and IT already knew where private application access went wrong: too many copies, too little ownership, and a close process that waited on the loudest inbox.
FortiEDR from Fortinet is now in that path. Fortinet delivers network and security fabric products, including next-generation firewalls and secure access, for distributed enterprises. The company treats it as production tooling for remote access, which is why network and IT live in it rather than exporting from it once a quarter.
ConocoPhillips can show how private application access is handled today. That is the value: a repeatable way to run remote access on software the rest of the industry already recognizes.
