Elastic NV did not need another dashboard that nobody opened. It needed plant and field operations to move. In the Netherlands, operations engineers already knew where operations visibility went wrong: too many copies, too little ownership, and a close process that waited on the loudest inbox.
Palladium from Cadence is now in that path. Cadence Design Systems supplies computational software for integrated circuit, system, and PCB design used by electronics companies. The company treats it as production tooling for plant and field operations, which is why operations engineers live in it rather than exporting from it once a quarter.
