Story
Figma did not need another dashboard that nobody opened. It needed hybrid collaboration to move. In the United States, employees and partners already knew where distributed meetings went wrong: too many copies, too little ownership, and a close process that waited on the loudest inbox.
Dropbox Sign from Dropbox is now in that path. Dropbox is a content collaboration platform for storing, sharing, and reviewing files across teams and external partners. The company treats it as production tooling for hybrid collaboration, which is why employees and partners live in it rather than exporting from it once a quarter.
Figma can show how distributed meetings is handled today. That is the value: a repeatable way to run hybrid collaboration on software the rest of the industry already recognizes.
