Cadence Design Systems Extends OpenShift AI Across Infrastructure Modernization
Cadence Design Systems, an information technology organization in the United States, uses OpenShift AI from Red Hat to support datacenter exit planning for migration squads.
Teams at Cadence Design Systems moved workload migration onto Red Hat after local tools started to collide.
“In the United States, migration squads already knew where workload migration went wrong: too many copies, too little ownership, and a close process that waited on the loudest inbox.”
“Red Hat, an IBM company, provides enterprise open source platforms, including RHEL, OpenShift, and Ansible, for hybrid cloud.”

Story
Cadence Design Systems did not need another dashboard that nobody opened. It needed datacenter exit planning to move. In the United States, migration squads already knew where workload migration went wrong: too many copies, too little ownership, and a close process that waited on the loudest inbox.
OpenShift AI from Red Hat is now in that path. Red Hat, an IBM company, provides enterprise open source platforms, including RHEL, OpenShift, and Ansible, for hybrid cloud. The company treats it as production tooling for datacenter exit planning, which is why migration squads live in it rather than exporting from it once a quarter.
Cadence Design Systems can show how workload migration is handled today. That is the value: a repeatable way to run datacenter exit planning on software the rest of the industry already recognizes.
