Story
Inside BHP, security operations used to depend on whoever still had the latest file. That pattern is common in materials groups working out of Australia. SOC analysts needed a system that would still make sense after the original project team moved on.
BHP uses Tenable Cloud Security from Tenable as the working layer for endpoint detection. Tenable provides exposure management software that helps organizations find and prioritize vulnerabilities across IT, cloud, and OT. The practical change is simple: security operations has a home, and reviews happen there instead of in a forwarded thread.
Nothing in this writeup invents a savings number. What BHP gets from Tenable is a durable place to run security operations and a way for SOC analysts to see the same endpoint detection at the same time.
