Story

Audi grew cloud landing zones faster than the local tools around it. From Germany, consumer discretionary teams still had to serve customers and internal partners who expected a straight answer. Infrastructure and application teams were the ones stitching the picture together by hand.

Rolling out Amazon EC2 put platform operations on AWS. Amazon Web Services is the leading public cloud for compute, storage, data, and AI services, used to run production systems at global scale. Audi keeps the product in the path where work already happens, so infrastructure and application teams do not context-switch into a graveyard system used only for audits.

The visible result is steadier platform operations. Cloud landing zones is easier to inspect, and adjacent groups can join infrastructure and application teams without a guided tour of someone's desktop.
