Story

Atlassian did not need another dashboard that nobody opened. It needed operations automation to move. In Australia, ops and platform teams already knew where task agents went wrong: too many copies, too little ownership, and a close process that waited on the loudest inbox.

Computer Use from Anthropic is now in that path. Anthropic builds the Claude family of AI models used for analysis, coding, and workplace assistants with an emphasis on reliability. The company treats it as production tooling for operations automation, which is why ops and platform teams live in it rather than exporting from it once a quarter.

Atlassian can show how task agents is handled today. That is the value: a repeatable way to run operations automation on software the rest of the industry already recognizes.
