The World Economic Forum (WEF), dedicated to improving the state of the world through collaboration between government, business, and civil society, faced the challenge of managing disparate data systems across its large-scale global initiatives. These initiatives, ranging from the annual Davos event to reports and online platforms like Forum Spaces, required a unified approach to data management to enhance stakeholder engagement and operational efficiency. The traditional methods of using email attachments and spreadsheets proved inadequate, necessitating a more streamlined and integrated solution.
Salesforce stepped in to transform the WEF's data landscape. By implementing MuleSoft, the Forum integrated 64 systems with zero downtime, creating a central hub for reconciling data from event bookings, member management, and communications. This integration not only improved constituent experiences but also added a crucial layer of security, ensuring compliance with privacy laws through Salesforce Shield. Furthermore, Heroku Connect facilitated the rapid development and deployment of new applications, allowing developers to quickly respond to customer needs using a microservices architecture.
The adoption of Tableau Cloud further revolutionized the WEF's analytics capabilities. Consolidating over 100 dashboards into just 25 provided stakeholders with a single source of truth, enabling faster and more informed decision-making. This was exemplified in the Global Risks Report, which now includes an interactive Tableau dashboard for companies to prepare for critical global risks. Additionally, Salesforce's Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud enhanced event processes by tracking attendees, improving support responses, and personalizing communications.
The Einstein 1 platform serves as the WEF's central nervous system, unifying CRM, AI, and trusted data to build a 360-degree view of its constituents. This holistic approach has streamlined event planning, support requests, and marketing efforts, allowing global leaders to focus on addressing critical world issues. With the support of a dedicated Salesforce Signature Success team, the WEF ensures smooth operations and continuous improvement, paving the way for future advancements in AI-driven data analytics.
