MedicAlert Foundation Canada, a registered charity serving over one million Canadians, faced significant operational challenges due to a fragmented and outdated technology infrastructure. Their mission to provide critical health information to first responders during emergencies was hampered by 13 disconnected systems, resulting in laborious manual processes, limited data visibility, and difficulties in aligning departments.
Recognizing the need for a digital transformation, MedicAlert sought a comprehensive solution to integrate their data, teams, and customer interactions. After evaluating several vendors, including Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics, they selected HubSpot for its affordability, flexibility, and willingness to collaborate. Implementing HubSpot CRM, along with Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, and Service Hub, enabled MedicAlert to consolidate their operations onto a single platform.
With the assistance of Flawless Inbound, a HubSpot Implementation Partner, MedicAlert migrated 1.3 million health records to a secure storage location on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and integrated it with HubSpot. This ensured data security and compliance while allowing seamless access to critical information. The implementation also included automating subscription renewals, custom-built portals for first responders, and a dedicated e-commerce engine.
Since implementing HubSpot, MedicAlert has experienced astronomical efficiency gains. They now have real-time visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs) across finance, marketing, sales, and service. The ability to analyze subscriber behavior and conduct A/B testing has enabled them to optimize campaigns, improve subscription renewals, and reduce attrition rates.
