Happiest Minds Technologies, a leader in digital transformation, was seeking to enhance its Digital Content Monetization (DCM) Platform. The goal was to enable customers to extract maximum value from their core business products by providing rapid and precise access to information, thereby accelerating decision-making and fostering business growth. Recognizing the potential of generative AI (gen AI), Happiest Minds aimed to integrate this technology to improve data mining from extensive content repositories, which included diverse formats.

In collaboration with IBM, Happiest Minds conducted a proof of concept (POC) leveraging IBM® watsonx.ai™ on IBM Cloud®. This involved loading unstructured data into a Prompt Lab within the watsonx.ai AI studio. The implementation allowed Happiest Minds to obtain specific data responses from content repositories using natural language queries, eliminating the need for exact keywords. The solution summarized and rephrased the data for end-users through chat interfaces, ensuring clarity and relevance.

The integration of watsonx.ai has significantly augmented performance and improved outcomes for Happiest Minds. With over 50 features in the DCM Platform catalog, the solution enabled faster data curation for dashboards and business charts. By utilizing key components of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), relevant documents were identified and processed through large language models (LLMs) to fine-tune performance.

As a result, Happiest Minds now processes 50 reports and documents monthly using natural language, reducing the time required to create business charts by 15 hours per feature per month. This enhanced search capability has led to a remarkable 30% increase in productivity. Happiest Minds plans to refine existing use cases, explore new applications, and conduct further user testing before a full production release.
